White Tower, Mulegns

The White Tower of Mulegns is the world’s tallest 3D-printed building. Measuring approx. 30 metres in hight, the tower was designed for the Origen Cultural Foundation in collaboration with ETH Zurich.
The building sets new standards when it comes to the use of material-efficient, 3D-printed concrete. Its construction method produces a unique architectural form language that would be virtually impossible to achieve with conventional methods.

The tower has a particularly striking effect when it gets dark. Situational lighting brings out the architecture’s impressive qualities: The 32 individually designed pillars clearly display their unique shape and alignment, while the intricate ornamentation takes on a three-dimensional quality. Subtly positioned lights, increasing in intensity towards the top, illuminate the tower from within, lending the building an otherworldly presence.
