Centre Albert Anker, Ins

The house in which Albert Anker was born and raised, and where he lived and worked after 1890, now hosts the Centre Albert Anker – a house of art of national significance. The Centre provides a comprehensive overview of the artist’s body of work.

Thanks to soft ambient lighting combined with precisely focused lighting for the display cases, the exhibits, which include drawings, oil paintings and everyday objects, are each displayed to their best advantage. The lighting concept clearly showcases the artist’s intention, refinement and diverse range of techniques.

Forming a central design element of the exhibition, the lighting directs the visitors’ perception, strategically presents the artworks to great effect and creates a welcoming atmosphere. At the same time, it ensures that colours are faithfully rendered, while balancing the required light intensity with conservation requirements.
