Our glass reaches a temperature of over 1300 degrees Celsius during processing. Our glassmakers install a translucent layer of opal glass between two layers of crystal glass. During that process, the glass has a viscosity like honey. We wanted to give this valuable glass mass a new, more glass-like form – and got our inspiration from pebbles on the beach. Their soft, flowing and almost random shapes are very similar to those of glass during the melting process.
