Bongénie Grieder, Zurich

Having excelled in the art of elegance for over 130 years, Bongénie is now considered the Swiss gold standard in the luxury segment. After its relocation, Bongénie – previously Grieder –  has opened a 4000 m² fashion house for luxury brands in Zurich’s Bahnhofstrasse which also boasts a restaurant and a café/bar.

Featuring a thoughtfully coordinated material and colour scheme, the building embodies sophisticated elegance, both inside and out.

The lighting concept is an integral part of the overall architectural composition. International brand worlds are presented in a uniquely atmospheric setting, enhancing the visitor experience and supporting product presentation according to a distinct visual hierarchy. Carefully coordinated light qualities ensure that materials are faithfully rendered: Leather remains authentic and true to colour, silk reveals its characteristic lustre, while jewellery and watches take on a striking visual presence and exclusivity.

An extensive range of lighting tools creates the desired effect which is perfectly tailored to the respective function and use. The result is a nuanced, emotionally engaging presentation of fashion, beauty, lifestyle and gastronomy that aids orientation and enhances the perception.
